The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been called upon by the Kwara State government to help with the recovery of looted funds and assets.
This distress call was heralded to the EFCC yesterday when a team from the Ministry of Justice visited the Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC yesterday.
The Ministry of Justice team was led by Ayinla Jawondo, State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, who made the appeal to the EFCC. In return, Jawondo promised the EFCC can always rely on the Ministry of Justice’s support.
The team from the Ministry of Justice were well received by the EFCC Zonal office and Kazeem Oseni, the Ilorin Zonal Head of EFCC, assured the agency would do its best in the state.
