Court remands Man for defiling own 3 daughters in Anambra

A High Court sitting in Awka the Anambra state capital has remanded a middle-aged man, Igbo Thomas for Defiling his three daughters.

He was remanded at the Awka Correctional Center in the capital town.

The incident was committed in Enuoji village in Enugwu Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of the State.

It would be recalled that operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state had on May 24, 2021, arrested the suspect who hails from Okolo Ani village Igbo Etiti Local government area of Enugu State for allegedly having canal knowledge of his daughters.

The suspect had confessed to the crime but insisted he was under alcohol influence when he committed the crime.

The victims were taken to the hospital for medical attention.

The state NSCDC Commandant, Vincent Ogu had ordered for discrete investigation into the matter.

Public Relations Officer of the outfit, Okadigbo Edwin, in a statement said the suspect was eventually arraigned at the State High Court, Awka after the conclusion of a thorough investigation and was remanded at the Correctional Center by the Judge.

However, the state Commandant urged parents to be more responsible in taking care of their children.
