Two Palestinians killed after fighting with Israeli forces
Two Palestinians have been killed following an overnight raid by Israeli forces into the West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry on Tuesday.
The dead were aged 18 and 22, Israel said its forces entered Jenin in an attempt to arrest a suspected terrorist.
After detaining the person, its forces came under fire from multiple directions, so they shot back.
Zelensky calls for Russia to be stopped as shelling continues
Ultimately, the fighting involved about 150 Jenin residents attacking the Israeli forces with petrol bombs and rocks.
The troops responded with live ammunition.
Fighting has become more frequent in the occupied West Bank of late.
