Wase mourns Sheikh Ahmad Lemu

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, has expressed sadness over the death of renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Justice Ahmad Lemu OFR, who died in the early hours of Thursday at the age of 91.
In a condolence massage  by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase described late Sheikh Lemu as an educationist, a foremost cleric and jurist who rendered selfless service to Islam and his country.
The Deputy Speaker said the late cleric was one of the best Islamic scholars who is committed to the ideals of Islam, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect for all persons, adding that his life was full of lessons for today’s young aspiring scholars.
“As we mourn the passage of a father, jurist and leader, I pray to the Almighty Allah to give his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss,” the Deputy Speaker added.
