According to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomole is not his godfather. He said that only God is his godfather.
Oshiomhole is the immediate past National Chairman of the APC and a former governor of Edo state.
Speaking on Arise Television, Ize-Iyamu said, “Oshiomhole is working for me, he is campaigning with me because he is also passionate about his party winning Edo and you can’t take that away from him.”
He also said that he stepped down for Oshiomole in 2007 because Edo southwest where he comes from has had a governor, unlike Oshiomole’s Edo north.
“I just thought that well, for equity to prevail, it will be nice to make history. Of course, he has done so well as chairman of APC and I just said well, you know it’s good,” he said.
