Security personnel in Bauchi Gov’s convoy involved in accident, one unconscious

One of the vehicles conveying 10 Police personnel on the convoy of Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir was involved in an accident on Tuesday while he was on an inspection tour.
Governor Mohammed who was inspecting ongoing projects across the state, was driving through the 62km Burga-Yelwan Duguri-Alkaleri road project to ascertain its level of completion when the accident occurred.
The Vehicle, a Toyota Hilux pick-up van, RRS 3 lost control and , somersaulted with the 4 tyres facing upwards due to dust raised by the Governor’s convoy.
Though there was no loss of lives in the accident, some of the personnel were injured with one of them was said to be unconscious, they were all rushed to the nearby hospital in Bununu, the Tafawa Balewa local government headquarters, for first aid medical treatment from where the badly injured were referred to Bauchi for more medical attention.

The vehicle, driven by one Sabo, which had 10 Policemen, was in the process of overtaking other vehicles in order to get the to front when he lost control and skidded off the road.
Seriously damaged and was left at the scene of the accident while the journey continued to Yelwan Duguri, country home of the Governor.
The Governor’s vehicle and most of the top government officials had gone far when the incident happened so, they could not stop to offer any helping hand in the rescue mission.
