There are no special privileges for women – Diva Gold

An actress and skit maker, Olukemi Niyi-Aluko, aka Diva Gold, has claimed that women in Africa don’t get special privileges because of their gender.
In a recent interview, the entertainer dismissed opinions that women find things easier than their male counterparts.
She said, “I don’t know who made that statement that women generally find things easy in Africa. I am hustling for every penny I get. Nobody is giving me any free money. Day and night, I have to work and think of ideas for content. I have to look for people to feature me in their movies. It has just been the grace of God. I don’t believe in that saying that women find it easy. I am working so hard.”
On the red flag she detests in a relationship, she said, “My biggest red flag in a relationship, which I think I am also guilty of, is lack of communication. They say unlike poles attract, because I suck at communicating. If he also sucks at communication, I am sorry we cannot work together. That’s like a deal breaker for me. But, there are times I would want the person’s attention even if I am not giving it. If I see that I am being given attention by my partner even if I am distracted, the fact that I am being given attention will make me want to give mine.”
On if she is satisfied with how far she has come in her career, she stated, “How can I be satisfied? Where am I? I give glory to God and I am not taking where I am for granted. I am really grateful to God but being satisfied? No, I haven’t even reached anywhere.”
