10 men didn’t gang up against DJ Tunez for me, says Burna Boy

Afrobeats star Burna Boy has dismissed allegations that he was accompanied by a group of ten men during a recent altercation with DJ Tunez, insisting that the confrontation was a one-on-one encounter.
The controversy began after DJ Tunez and his associate, Wizkid, separately alleged on social media that Burna Boy had arrived with multiple individuals during the incident involving the DJ. The claims quickly sparked widespread discussion online.
However, in a livestream session on Wednesday night with Shallipopi, Burna Boy pushed back strongly against the narrative, denying that he was backed by any group.
According to him, he acted alone during the confrontation. He also acknowledged physically assaulting the DJ, stating that he slapped him twice, while maintaining that no additional persons were involved.
“Shalli, no be 10 people touch that guy, na only me… na only me — two slap na im I give am,” he said during the livestream, reinforcing his claim that he was solely responsible for the incident.
Burna Boy further argued that if he had indeed been supported by a group, the outcome would have been more severe, suggesting that DJ Tunez would have required medical attention. He added that he remained at the club for several hours after the incident, anticipating a possible retaliation that never came.
He also claimed that although DJ Tunez was accompanied by others at the venue, they reportedly fled upon seeing him, leaving the DJ behind. The singer said he later observed that rather than addressing the situation directly, DJ Tunez took to social media to express his grievances.
The incident continues to generate reactions across social media platforms, with fans and observers weighing in on the conflicting accounts from both sides.
