A report by brand finance city index 2023 says Lagos state is the 5th best African city to live and work.

According to the report, the Nigerian commercial hub was ranked 5th in Africa and 90th in the world with a 56.7% score.

The ranking is based on a global survey of close to 15,000 members of the public conducted in April 2023 in 20 countries on all the continents.

Taking the lead as the first best African country to live and is Capetown, South Africa with a 62.9%.

The survey puts Cairo (Egypt), Johannesburg (South Africa) , and Casablanca (Morocco) as the best 2nd,3rd, and 4th best city to live in Africa.

The survey crowned London (England), the best city to live, work, and invest in the world with an 84.6 % score.
