The United States of America(U.S.A) has imposed visa restrictions on some Nigerians over their roles in the 2023 general elections.
This was announced in a post by the Secretary of State to the US, Anthony Blinken
According to him, the restriction was placed on those who undermined the democratic process of the election.
However, the names of the affected nigerian politicians were not disclosed.
He said “We have imposed visa restrictions on specific individuals who undermined the democratic process during Nigeria’s 2023 elections.
“We remain committed to supporting Nigerian aspirations to strengthen democracy and rule of law”.
