The highest Igbo Socio-cultural organization, under the umbrella of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, is making moves to stop those it described as corrupt politicians and imperial looters from gaining access to Aso Rock, the seat of power, through the ballot in 2023.
Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, in a statement, also alerted Nigerians of convert plot by some dubious elements to gain access to the seat of power, riding on ethnic sentiment.
He said that a frontline candidate and his cronies have craftily conceived a masterpiece to play on the ignorance of the electorates in the North, in alliance with Aso Rock cartels to cruise to power in 2023.
He said the only impediments and hurdles in their way is how to hoodwink and trick the Southeast and Niger/ Delta voters into the inglorious union of looters.
According to the statement, “Nigerians know that before the 2003 elections, former President Olusegun Obasanjo lost control of the PDP party structure to his erstwhile Vice President Atiku Abubakar when the latter allegedly used the then Governors to bolster his chances of winning the 2003 elections against President Obasanjo. It’s an open secret that Obasanjo knelt and stooped low to beg Atiku Abubakar his deputy before he could return and win his re-election in 2003, Obasanjo should open up to Nigerians, and tell them the truth about what transpired in the privatization exercise led by Atiku Abubakar during his tenure”.
Ohaneze said that PDP presidency in 2023 will be a revival of looting and re-looting of Nigeria’s remaining assets and treasure.

Mazi Isiguzoro further noted, the assemblage of looters and marauders in in PDP speaks volumes of what would happen in their desperation to ride on the ignorance of electorates to gain access to power in 2023.
He noted that a political party that cannot unify itself, is incapable of unifying the country.
Ndigbo also frowned at the decision of PDP to continue to retain Iyochia Ayu as National Chairman, instead of conceding it to the south, saying, the appointment of Wabara as BOT chairman was a calculated attempt to spite the southeast.
