The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has debunked reports of being the running mate to presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
Wike dispelled the rumor on Tuesday during a stakeholders meeting of the PDP Rivers State Chapter at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
He stated that there was no such agreement between himself and any politician to be their running mate for the 2023 presidency.
“At the appropriate time, members of the party in the southern region will speak in one voice about their decision on the 2023 presidential election,” he said.
