Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is to chair the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign council.

A statement released yesterday showed that the 350-member council by the party’s state chairman, Desmond Akawor, apart from Wike, Ferdinand Alabara will function as the alternate chair. It has members in the state’s governorship candidate, Siminialayi Fubara; deputy governorship candidate, Ngozi Odu; serving state deputy governor, Ipalibo Banigo and Speaker of the House of Assembly, Ikuinyi Awaji Ibani, while Felix Obuah will serve as the director-general (DG).

Another notable member of the council is the former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives in Abuja, Chibudom Nwuche.

The statement said the members will be inaugurated on Monday at the Rivers StatenCampaign Secretariat at GRA Phase 2, Port Harcourt, at 11.00
