2nd anniversary: Ogun lawmakers hail Abiodun, seek more constituencies projects

Members of Ogun House of Assembly, on Tuesday, marked their second year in office, with a unanimous call on Gov. Dapo Abiodun to implement more projects, especially road construction and rehabilitation, in their respective constituencies.

The lawmakers, who spoke separately during plenary in Abeokuta, commended the governor for a job well done since assumption of office in 2019.

They also commended their constituents for the opportunity given to them to serve in the Ninth Assembly.

The legislators, however, sought for the release of constituency project allowance to enable them implement projects that would complement the infrastructure being put in place by the state government in their respective constituencies.

Although they decried the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the state economy, the lawmakers, however, lauded the governor and the Speaker,Olakunle Oluomo, for their visionary and responsive leadership in the executive and legislative arms respectively.

They acknowledged the roles of the management and members of staff of the assembly in the success they had recorded so far.

The lawmakers reassured their constituents of more quality representations through people-oriented bills and other development projects.
