….As Police Arrests Four of the Suspects

Chief  Emah Aigboje is 95 years old, on Thursday in Abuja he addressed some journalists were he narrated how some known and identified youths in Igarra, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo state murdered his son, Lacombe Ajtuenwumeshe Emah at a palm wine joint.

Cheif Aigboje who said he was in Abuja to cry to higher authorities to help him seek justice for the son that was murdered on 18th January, 2021 pointed out that he was killed over a little disagreement that came up during their community festival.

“I was in my house on 18/19th of January night when I received a telephone call from United State of America telling me that my son Lacombe is dead, that he was murdered by some youths they known and identified in the community. It was around 2am already, at my age and i can not see well too, at that moment I try to find my way to the point he said the incident happened.

After walking about two kilometres and the whole area was silent, i decided to take refuge at the Anglican Church till around 5;30am where I heard my brother voice who was on the same mission with me. we started looking for him until we discovered him at the mortuary . we then informed the police who later followed us to the mortuary for all the necessary complains and documentations .

‘ My pleading for government , police and you journalists to help me out get justice for my innocent son that was murdered in his cold blood. if i died today my soul will rest without getting justice for my son.,”

Meanwhile, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Lacombe Ajtuenwumeshe Emah in Igarra , Akoko-Edo local government of Edo state.

Murder of Lacombe: One Suspect Arrested as family call for Justice

The deceased family members have called on the Inspector-General of Police, to use his good offices to ensure that justice is served over his alleged murder, as they have alleged that some powerful politicians were making frantic efforts to ensure the case was swept under the carpet.

Lacombe was murdered in cold blood by known and identified persons who are of a group of clans in Igarra according to the petition written on behalf of the family by Barrister Moses Akerele in the Law House Attorney.

The family through their lawyer in the petition addressed to the Inspector General of Police and obtained by our reporter expressed concern over the way and manner the case was being handled by the police, stressing that all they need was for the suspects in the case to be arrested and charged to court as available evidence has shown that the case was a clear murder.
