An abandoned building has collapsed in the Ilupeju, Palmgroove area of Lagos state on Wednesday.

According to reports, the building located at 15, Oke Arin street, off Shyllon Ilupeju, collapsed at about 1:07am.

The incident was confirmed by the the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Dr Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu.

He said the abandoned building collapsed to ground zero in the early hours of today.

“Fortunately, no loss of life. However, one adult male sustained minor injury and has been taken to hospital.

“The affected building has been cordoned off in order to prevent any threat,” he said in a statement.
