To check the menace of abandoned and uncompleted projects in the capital territory, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has revealed his administration’s plans to fund 10 priority projects.
The Minister who said he would commence the repair of major roads within the capital city next week hinted that the projects will be financed through Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the FCTA.
Wike spoke yesterday while inspecting ongoing repair works at the Lower Usman Dam Water Treatment project that was shut down for emergency repair last year.

He expressed shock and wondered why the project is yet to be awarded for repairs till now, adding that the repair works would be thrown open for fresh bidding by interested contractors
On the Gurara Water Project, Wike expressed concern that the contract awarded in 2012 for N10bn has suffered unnecessary delays to attract variation for a whopping sum of N50bn to N200bn, revealing that the contractor has collected over 95 percent of the contract sum without completing its assignment.
