Chairman, Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend John Hayab has announced that 26 of the abducted students from Bethel Secondary School, Kaduna, have returned.
Hayab said this on Monday and expressed hope that more of the kidnapped students will escape from the bandits.
The CAN chairman also said that a total of 180 students were in the school situated on the outskirts of Kaduna state.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Police Command in Kaduna, ASP Mohammed Jalije said 17 of the Bethel school students had been rescued.
Jalije said that the exact number of students kidnapped by the bandits during the early hours of Monday was yet to be ascertained.
The school is located in Damishi town of Chikun Local Government Area in Kaduna State.
