
Over 150 Special Athletes that featured at Wednesday’s Lagos #Ability Games inside the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos were in a happy mood with others openly applauding Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his government for approving and sponsoring the #Ability Games.
Senior Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on People living with disability, Mrs Adenik.e Lawal also put aside her clutches to appreciate the governor, who has been so supportive to the Special athletes in the state.
“Thumbs up to His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his government for making people living with disability able through the Games. You can see that athletes and officials with one disability or the other are feeling strong and excited.
“We are not surprised because the government has never failed to carry credible and good spirit good-spiriteds and groups along at any time. We are at this #Ability Games, and I strongly believe it could be bigger and better.
“We have benefitted from the government commitment to social development and empowerment of people living with disability”, summarized Lawal as sportsmen and women with disability fa featured in Athletics, Shot Put, Wheel Chair Tennis, Table tennis, Cycling, Chess, Ayo and blind f, football at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Rashidat Abade and Akeem Boshorun who did very well in Athletics and Shot Put also said in separate interviews that they have been fully inspired by the #Ability games and would look forward to the next edition with high hopes.
