AIG INTERPOL assures ANFASSC of maximum security for future engagements

Assistant Inspector General of Police, INTERPOL, Umar Garba Baba has reiterated the commitment of the Force to continue securing lives and properties of Nigerians and gave special recognition to the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club ANFASSC.

During a courtesy call to his office by the National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, AIG Baba noted that the Police are always willing to ensure safety adding that he’s aware of the importance of the supporters club in the success of the Nigerian National teams.

AIG Baba was then presented with a customized jersey of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters club by the ANFASSC National President.

Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi informed the AIG that the current itinerary of the club runs through September 2021 and February 2022 during which the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be involved in world cup qualifiers and then the Africa cup of Nations.

He added that the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club had a stellar stay at the Egypt 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where the Super Eagles finished third and arrangements are already in top gear to replicate and surpass what was achieved in Egypt.

He expressed confidence that the Super Eagles will this time around win the top Prize in Cameroon and lift Nigeria’s fourth African title
