Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has commended Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for the inclusivity of females in his government.
Aisha gave the commendation at the 2022 Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO2022) conference which held at Eko Hotels on Tuesday.
Speaking at the event, the First Lady also praised Wike’s efforts on child rights advocacy and his ending of the denial of women inheritance prevalent among cultures and traditions in Rivers state.
Governor Wike had on September 13 signed into law, the Rivers State Prohibition of the Curtailment of Women’s Right to Share in Family Property Law No. 2.
Also speaking at the event, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, hailed Wike as the ‘only Governor that peppers them’.

This is in reference to the Governor’s efforts in ensuring equality and fairness within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the 2023 election approaches.
Governor Wike attended the event alongside former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose; his host, Governor Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries.
