Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has paid condolence visit to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun over the demise of his aged mother, Chief Mary Asake Oleyelogun.
Late Mary Asake Oleyelogun died at the age of 102 years.
Members of the State Executive council, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, joined the Governor to visit the Speaker at his Isarun hometown in Ifedore Local Government Area of the State.
The Governor and members of the State executive council were received by the Speaker, his family members and some members of the House of Assembly.
Akeredolu, who was outside the state when the Speaker’s mother died, had also sent a high-powered delegation led by the deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and members of the State Executive Council to condole the family.
He urged the Speaker to celebrate the exit of his late mother, adding that she lived a fulfilled life.
Arakunrin Akeredolu said the Speaker’s late mum left at a good time when she will be given a glamorous and befitting burial.

“Your mother left at a good time. To live up to 102 is not a joke. I want to congratulate you for surviving your mother. I congratulate all members of your family.
“You chose next week for the burial ceremony.
We will be there to give you all the support. You are heading a tier of government. I want to congratulate you and tell you that you should be prepared to celebrate your mother. Her exit should be celebrated.” The Governor said.
While welcoming the Governor and his entourage, Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun appreciated them for the visit.
He described his late mother as a prayerful, loving and hardworking woman who did her best to ensure they become successful in life.
Oleyelogun also used the occasion to appreciate the Governor for always standing by him at all times, describing him as a very reliable leader.
The Speaker applauded the Governor for his sterling leadership quality, which he said has made the state develop under his administration.
He equally disclosed that the peace and stability the Assembly is enjoying is as a result of the support and cooperation from the Executive arm led by the Governor.
