Alleged money laundering: Police arrest Pastor Bolaji Idowu
The Lead Pastor of the Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), Bolaji Idowu, has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force over his alleged involvement in real estate fraud and money laundering.
Reports revealed that the preacher, who is popular for organising the “Next-Level Prayer Conference” is in the custody of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to a top police source who spoke anonymously, “The Next Level Prayer Conference, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, has been arrested by the police, and he is being grilled in Abuja over real estate fraud and money laundering.”
Another source revealed, “He is at the FCID Abuja as we speak.”
The report is yet to be confirmed or denied by the police or the church management.
Pastor Idowu started the church in December 2003.
His ‘Next-Level Prayer’ conference has over over 70,000 worshippers both online and onsite where he encourages the participants to build a prayer life.
