The former manager of the defunct music group, P-Square, Jude Okoye, has regained his freedom after spending two months in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of fraud.
Recall that Jude was dragged to court on seven counts of charges related to money laundering alongside his company, Northside Music Limited.
However, his release was publicised by his brother, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy.
He shared videos of Jude leaving the prison and reuniting with his family after being away for two months.
Paul wrote, “Jude is finally out after 2months + .. all their efforts to frustrate his bail has finally collapsed. Welcome home brother #judeengees. And happy birthday. Welcome back blood.”
During a recent court sitting, Peter recounted his strained business relationship with his older brother.
Peter testified against Jude in the Federal High Court in Lagos. He explained how Jude secretly registered a new company in his wife’s name and used it to divert royalties that rightfully belonged to P-Square.
The court adjourned the case to June 4 for cross-examination.
