Amb Chigbolu lauds World Archery on Abdullahi’s C’wealth Games appointment

World Archery Federation has appointed the President of the Nigeria Archery Federation, Mohammed Baba Abdullahi as member of a five man Committee of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Mohammed’s letter of appointment which was signed by the Secretary General of the World Archery Federation, Paul Calin and directed to the chairman of the Commonwealth Games Committee, Robert Fiddyment reads: “On behalf of World Archery, I am pleased to provide written confirmation on the appointments made by the world Archery Executive Board to serve on the Commonwealth Gam s Committee. We look forward to these individuals contributing to the activities on your committee.Your sincerely, Paul Calin, Secretary General.
Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, who is also NAFED President, was appointed alongside four others in the 5- member Commonwealth Committee, which include, Karl Balisch, Ms Yrima Roberts, Ms Ainsley Ward and Virendra Sachdeva.
Meanwhile, Vice President of the Nigeria Archery Federation, Ambassador Augustine Chigbolu has applauded World Archery Federation’s laudable appointment of Mohammed Abdullahi as member of the Commonwealth Games Committee, describing as a well deserved move considering Abdullahi’s contributions in archery development not only in Nigeria and Africa but globally.
Besides Nigeria, Ambassador Chigbolu revealed that Archery has been getting more attention continentally due to driving force of people like Abdullahi and wants such momentum to continue.
Ambassador Chigbolu Aldo charged Archery stakeholders in the country to unite and support the good programmes being initiated by Abdullahi’s led Executive Committee of NAFED so that together we continue to build a strong and united family for Archery development in the country
