Stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State on Wednesday gathered in Awka, the State capital to chart a course and strategies aimed at ensuring victory ahead of the November 6th Governorship election in the state.
The party leaders, elders, and members are drawn from the 21 local government areas and three Senatorial districts of the state were in attendance at the meeting.
Chairman of the party, Chief Basil Ejidike told the gathering that the next few weeks would herald the entrance into the fold of more powerful politicians from other parties to further quake the political la escape of the state.
Ejidike noted that every reasonable politician in Anambra state has come to the realization that APC is a party to beat in the state and that entails why they are joining the family en-mass.
He expressed optimism that Anambra state would soon becoming a one-party APC state and enjoined the stakeholders to go into their various wards and locals to mobilize people for the party’s victory in the forthcoming poll.
According to him, the party was faced with the arduous task of getting to the Agu Awka government house, stressing that it can only be achieved through hard work and membership mobilization at the grassroots.
“Our party is intact, united, focused and we have gotten our candidate, very credible and experienced one. The only task we have now is how to mobilize people to vote for our candidate” he said
The APC state chairman however appealed to those who might have been offended in one way or the other within the party to Sheathe their swords, forgive and forget but work in unity towards the victory of the party.
Also, the party in a communique read by the spokesperson of Andy Uba Campaign Organisation, Mr. Chibuzor Obiako at the end of the meeting, urged members to support the governorship candidate Senator Andy Uba and his deputy Emeka Okafor to achieve victory for the party.

The party stakeholders and leasers condemned the campaign of calumny by opposition parties against Senator Uba just to smear his character and curry votes.
They declared that Uba has built an outstanding reputation that cannot be tarnished by mischief makers or campaigners against his clear chances in the contest.
The party called on the people of the state to be patient as APC would clean up the mess imposed on the state by the present government immediately it assumes office as next Governor of the state.
