
Guinness World Records (GWR) has said that it needs to review the new record set by Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, for the longest cooking time before making a confirmation.
GWR made this known in response to a Nigerian tweep, who asked why it had not acknowledged Hilda’s feat.
The body tweeted: “We’re aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record.”
ThisNigeria reported that Hilda Baci beat the the 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs world cooking record set by Indian chef, Lata Tondon in 2019.

The chef commenced her 4-day Cook-a-thon on the 11th of May at the Amore Gardens in Lekki.
She received massive support from Nigerians, including prominient ones like President-elect, Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and a host of others.
