Anambra: Peter Obi, Ozigbo promise inclusive govt that recognizes equal treatment

Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for the November 6th 2021 governorahip election in Anambra State, Chief Valentine Ozigbo has promised to run an all-inclusive govemroment that recognizes the equality of all races, people and individuals if elected governor of the atate.

Ozigbo stated this when members of the Anambra State Non Indigenes Stakeholders Association endorsed him for the exalted number one seat at the Agu Awka Government House in the state capital.

This is as former Vice Presidential candidate if the PDP during the 2015 election,Mr. Peter Obi said the problems of Nigeria would be resolved when the people have good leaders.

Obi said “Every person in Anambra is an indigene, we are all Nigerian and we must see ourselves as Nigerian, not from the tribe”

According to him, “We can only see ourselves as one when we have good leaders.”

However members of the group threw their weight behind Ozigbo’s Governorship ambition and pledged to vote massively for the PDP and his emergence at the poll.

The body which was led by its convener Mrs. Amara Tamuno said their choice for Chief Ozigbo for the Governorship seat was because of his humble and charismatic vision, mission, and people-oriented campaign programs aimed at bringing government and governance to the grassroots for the development, growth and overall welfare of people of the state.

Membership of the group is made up of non indigenous communities drawn from the Southeast, South-South, Southwest, North and Middle Belt states of the country.

Chief Ozigbo however expressed gratitude to the group for their support, saying that with their commitment and votes victory is assured at the November poll.

He promised that when elected as governor his administration would treat equally all segments of the people irrespective of state of origin or birth, pointing out that as residents of Anambra everybody is a citizen as there is no segregation between indigenes and non indigenes.

According to him, everybody would be treated equally in order to guarantee peaceful coexistence, love for one another and progress.

Ozigbo maintained that the quest for the position of governor of the state requires somebody who has conscience, love, a large heart, a servant leader with sympathy and with divine mandate as well as a credible political platform and best of intention for Ndi Anambra and Ndigbo.

He assured the people that adequate security, massive infrastructural development, employment generation and industrialization would be accorded priority by his government.
