The National Secretary Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC John James Akpanudoedehe has commended the efforts of the Gombe state governor for his report as head of the Anambra governorship primary election appeal committee, saying party supremacy and party direction will guide the outcome of the primary.
Receiving the report on behalf of the National Chairman at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, he noted that the party will look into the issues raised and it will take necessary action in line with the party’s direction.
According to him: ” I stand on behalf of the party chairman to thank you immensely for the rapid and expediency and the urgency that you have given to this assignment. Thank you very much. We are a progressive party and the progressive parties are very straightforward and we’re honest in our dealings.
” I want to assure you that the Caretaker Committee Chairman and the Caretaker will look critically with objectivity to this report. Even though, I don’t know what is contained in this (report), at the end of the day, the party supremacy and the party direction will be guided by what you have done”, he said.
Fielding questions from pressmen on what the report contains, the governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya stated that they have done their best in a meeting with all the aspirants after the primary.
He said his committee didn’t face any challenge as they were prepared to handle the outcome of the primary as directed by the party.
He said: “As I promised, we did justice to the assignment. We heard their complaints. We went through the petitions and we have written our report based on the materials that we got that could help us to prepare our recommendations.

“And that we wish. I will wish that you wait for the et report from the national Caretaker Committee because for now, all the documents are with them. But o believed justice has been done.
“Virtually all the aggrieved aspirants attend the meeting. We surmount all of them. It was not only the contestants. Even senior stakeholders from the South-East particularly from Anambra state.
“What time if challenged? We went to execute an assignment and anything that you bring is not a challenge to me as far as I am concerned. It is a working document and I did well with it”, he said.
