The opposition Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), in Anambra State, said Monday that it has uncovered plans by the All Progressive Congress (APC), to rig the forthcoming November 6th governorship election in the state.

The party alleged that President Mohammadu Buhari and the APC National Working Committee (NWC), are out to perfect the plots that would pave way for rig the poll in favour of the APC.

Chairman of PRP in the state, Hon. Mathias Aninwachukwu stated during an interview with newsmen shortly after the stakeholders meeting held at the resident of the Party’s candidate Dr. Nnamdi Nwawou in Nando town in Anambra east Local government area.

He said the leadership of the party and other political parties contesting the election would not allow such a ploy to happen in Anambra State.

According to him, we got to know about this wicked act allegedly through a Senator from Kogi State who revealed to us that the visit to President Mohammadu Buhari by the APC Candidate, Senator Andy Uba, was an open announcement to Nigerians that the Anambra election is going to be allegedly rigged in favour of APC candidate.

The PRP governorship candidate, Dr. Nnamdi Nwawou, said that APC was allegedly plotting to rig the election because, they are afraid of him as a traditionalist, whom God and the God’s of the land have chosen to liberate majority of Ndi-Anambra from poverty.
