Monulu who spoke to newsmen at the Otuocha national headquarters of the group, in Anambra East local government Thursday said “After carefully going through the manifestoes of the candidates vying for the Nov. 6 Anambra gubernatorial election we found Sen. Andy Uba as the best among other contestants to take over the seat of power from the ruling party, APGA, led by His Excellency, Chief Willy Obiano”.

He said that youths of the area decried the poor state of roads in Anambra state and have confidence that Senator Andy Uba if he becomes governor would reconnect Anambra state to the federal government to fast-tracked infrastructural development in the state.

He stated further that “Our choice of Andy Uba was formed by his wealth of knowledge, experience and rich level of native intelligence combined with his exposure to corridors of power over years which is a key to Anambra liberation”.

“We are impressed by the ten-point agenda of Uba’s manifesto which cuts across; Security, Education, Job creation, Infrastructure, Healthcare, Agriculture, Local government, Gender inclusivity, Environment, Youths and sports”, he stated further.

Monulu said, “We have confidence that Senator Andy Uba will bring his experience as a negotiator to bear by bringing everyone to the round table and return the peace for which Anambra is known, the way he successfully dialogued with the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in 2007.”

“APC is going into the election with confidence, particularly with the defections of other party members to APC. APGA has lost its simple majority in the House of Assembly and has become a minority party in the State while APC has become the majority party in the State House of Assembly.”
