Anglican Church recovers property after 99 years

The Ambrosini property at Ebute Meta has been returned to the Cathedral Church of St Jude by the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
The property was used as a surety to get a loan from Ambrosini & Co, but it did not go well for the church since Ambrosini also had an issue and sublet it to G. Cappa. G. Cappa, in turn, owed United Bank for Africa a lot of money and that resulted in AMCON taking over the property.
Olufeyisanjo Ojelabi, Dean of the Cathedral Church, is hopeful about the opportunities the return of the building means to the church, and a committee would be set up to discuss the way forward.
