Another Nollywood actor, Chikezie Uwazie is dead
Nollywood actor Chikezie Uwazie is dead.
The actor reportedly died few days after a second brain surgery in the United States.
Uwazie’s death was announced in a post by a colleague in the movie industry, Obey Etok, on Sunday.
The caption reads, “I can’t imagine I am posting this. Chikezie Uwazie gone see. After a 2nd brain surgery. Gini name.
“I am so shocked to get this news this evening. We just got this from our IMSU alum platform. You told me you were going to the States for greener pastures.
“You promised to return some years, but I didn’t see you. I can’t believe you are gone, but God knows best. Rest on Chyko”
Chikezie Uwazie was one of the top actors in the Nigerian movie industry in the early 2000s.
The actor relocated to the United States seven years ago after leaving the movie industry.
ThisNigeria reports that the movie industry was mourning over the weekend as two actors, Saint Obi, and Murphy Afolabi’s deaths were announced.
