Anxiety has gripped Akure residents on Tuesday as corpse of a man whose identity is yet to be known was found in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

An eye witness said the corpse of the man was dumped and found around Benin motorpark in Akure.

Some symphatisers around alleged that the man must have been killed by suspected ritualists as some parts of his body have been cut off.

The police public relations officer, Funmi Odunlami said the Divisional Police Officer at Obaile police station and his men had visited the scene and, the corpse had been checked and being moved to the mortuary.

According to the police spokesperson, preliminary findings showed that the man was said to be a driver from Idanre local government area of Ondo state.
