The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has assured the Amalgamated APC Support Group, AASG, of ensuring their requests are considered.
According to Adamu, this is due to the role played by the group in the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
He gave this reassurance in a remark when he received members of AASG, led by Engr. Kilani Mohammed.
He told the group that the party was willing and ready to listen to them and, where necessary, assist them in presenting their demands before the appropriate quarters.
He said: “Thank you for coming. We are grateful for your support before and during the elections. The victory belongs to all of you. I congratulate every one of you. We can only work together for more victory. I want to assure you that we will present your requests and demands to the appropriate quarters for necessary actions.”
Speaking, the Director General of AASG, Engr. Kilani Mohammed noted that it is always good to be patient because they have worked for the party, adding it was time for their request and demands to be listened to.
He said: ” You know, it is always good to. be good because it is good to be patient because I know at the end of the day, the truth will prevail. And that has been happening not just today but some weeks and some months back. We’re not fighting anybody.
“And I’m telling you they have realized their mistake. Some of them are even here with us, as far as we’re concerned— TThereanother support port anotherhaapartfrfor omm the Amalgamated APC support group. Since last month country’s presidential campaign Council has been dissolved.
” Independent Campaigns Council has been dissolved. So the only link now between the party, individuals, and groups is the Amalgamated APC support group. We’re calling on all other support groups.
” We have over 2468 support groups under Amalgamated whose names we publish in the national dailies, and we are one. We don’t have any faction. Those that have been defrauding people using the name of Amalgamated, I’m calling on them to please stop it. Otherwise, the law will come on them at the right time”, he said.
Also, the National Director, Media, and Publicity of the AASG expressed confidence that APC will consent to their requests because they have the backing of the entire party members given the votes they gave to the party for victory last election.
According to him: “As you witnessed inside the NWC hall, the National Working Committee ably led by our indomitable National Chairman, His Excellency Abdullahi Adamu, has reaffirmed the leadership of AASG led by Engr Killiani Mohammed.
‘This is to say that moving forward, only the Amalgamated APC support groups under the leadership of Engr. Killian Mohammed, we hold court for all registered support groups under this great party. It is phenomenal. It is unprecedented because history has been made today.
“And I can assure you that in the next week, we will roll out a series of activities, powerful activities that will lead us into the 29th of May for the massive gathering that we all share in the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria: he noted.
