APC extends sale, submission of nomination forms, shifts screening timetable

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced an extension of the timelines for the sale and submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections, alongside adjustments to its screening schedule.
In a statement issued on Monday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the extension was necessary to accommodate more aspirants participating in the exercise.
According to the new timetable, the sale of forms has been extended to midnight on Wednesday, May 6, while the deadline for submission of completed forms is now midnight on Thursday, May 7.
The party also disclosed that the screening of aspirants will now hold from Friday, May 8 to Tuesday, May 12, with the list of screened candidates scheduled for release on Wednesday, May 13.
Earlier on April 20, the APC had released its timetable for the 2027 general elections, fixing May 15 and 16 for its presidential primary election.
Under the revised schedule, the House of Representatives primary will now hold on May 18, the Senate primary on May 20, state Houses of Assembly primaries on May 21, and governorship primaries on May 23.
