The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa, on Wednesday, inaugurated the newly elected state and local government executives to run the affairs of the party for four years.

18 of the 21 local government chairmen of the party were also sworn-in at the ceremony.

Speaking at the inauguration, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, the newly elected State Chairman of the party, promised to carry all members along inline with the party’s constitution.

Bilal urged members of the party to unite for the common interest and its success in the 2023 general elections.

“Today, the APC in Adamawa entered a new political era in the state.

“Our election as State Executives of the party is a symbol of true democracy that will bring great change to the people through democratic values.

“As leaders; we promised to carry every member along and do our best to ensure that the party reclaim its mandate in the 2023.

“Also, we are going to introduce open door policy where every member and aspirant will be given opportunity to play his or her role in the party,” he said.

In his remarks, Alhaji Mohammed Abdullahi, the Publicity Secretary of the party, explained that there was pending issues regarding the congress in three local government areas of the state.

Abdullahi listed the affected areas to include Mubi North, Mubi South and Yola South.

“There is an INEC report indicating that local government congresses did not take place in Mubi North and Mubi South LGAs.

“While in Yola South there was unresolved differences between party members, and the reconciliation committee was directed to look into the matter,” he said.

Mr. Aji Kamale, APC’s Legal Advisor, administered the Oath of Office on the state and LGs officials of the party.
