Nigerians have mocked some aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored zero votes in the just concluded Presidential Primary of the Party.
ThisNigeria reported that the National Leader of APC, Bola Tinubu emerged the winner of the exercise with a total of 1271 votes to become the flagbearer of the party in the 2023 elections.
Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi polled 316 votes and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo scored 235 votes.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State scored 152 and 47 votes respectively.
Governors of Dave Umahi (Ebonyi) and Ben Ayade (Cross River) scored 38 and 37 votes, while former Governor of Zamfara State ,Ahmed Sani Yarima had four votes.
Other aspirants include:
Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba – 1 vote
Tunde Bakare – 0 votes
Rochas Okorocha – 0 votes
Jack Rich- Tein – 0 votes
Ogbonnaya Onu – 1 vote
Ikeobasi Mokelu – 0 votes
A total of 2203 votes were cast by the delegates at the exercise.
APC Primary: I bear no grudges against any aspirant – Tinubu
Reacting to the results, some Nigerians mocked the Pastor Bakare, who declared himself the 16th president of the country while addressing delegates before the voting commenced.
@renoomokri tweeted: “Did the 16th President, Pastor @T_Bakare get up to 16 votes? I am looking at the result. Except my eyes are deceiving me, the 16th President has so far gotten zeros votes. Maybe he meant 16th President of the NURTW. He will take over from MC Oluomo!”
