APC refute sales of Congress nomination forms, warns members to beware of dupe

By David Onimisi Lawani
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has refuted claims that it has commenced sales of the nomination form for its congress, stressing that there was no truth in the statement.

John James Akpanudoedehe National Secretary, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, of the party in a statement warned members of the party to beware of dupe whose stock in trade is to defraud innocent party members of their hard-earned money.

According to him: ” Our attention has been drawn to an unauthorized message asking members of the party wishing to contest for various posts in the forthcoming congresses to make payments for nomination forms through a bank account.

“Members of the party should disregard the message and avoid making payment into any bank account because the sales of the nomination forms have not commenced.

“This clarification has become necessary in order to ensure that no member of the party is duped in the name of making payments for nomination forms”, he said.

He reiterated that the party will use appropriate channels to communicate the sales of the form when the need arises saying relevant security agencies have been informed about this fraudulent request.
