Appeal Court victory: My constituents’ voices now clearer, says Reps Idahosa

Mr Dennis Idahosa (APC)has said that his Appeal Court victory has again affirmed that the people of the Ovia federal constituency would no longer allow anyone, under any guise, to supersede over their affairs without their mandate.
Idahosa stated this in his reaction to Saturday’s Appeal court judgement that affirmed his election as a member of the House of Representatives.
In a statement by his media aide, Mr Friday Aghedo, the lawmaker noted that he was never disturbed by the petitions as he was duly elected by the people of the federal constituency.
Referring to the book of Lamentation 3:36-37, Idahosa pointed out that the evil plans hatched by the enemies of Ovia came to nullity because it was against the wish of the people.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Health Care Services maintained that God has taken it upon himself to always foil any attempt to subvert the will of the people, and noted that in all things, man cannot be greater than God.
“They may have tried but the people’s power over them prevailed. We know how desperate they were during the elections, and we also know how far they went to stop a stop to the liberation victory we first recorded in 2019.
“It is not all about them again it is now about us, every resident, irrespective of tribe, religion, and ethnicity, and we will do all that is necessary and within the ambit of the law to stop them from arrogating power to themselves again.
“The people have seen the difference in the federal constituency in the past four years and I, Idahosa, have sworn to uphold this mandate that will enable me to continually survive the people

“The victory is not mine alone to be celebrated, ultimately, the biggest beneficiary on this victory remained us, we the people of Ovia federal constituency,” he stated.
It would be recalled that the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos had on Saturday upheld the Tribunal judgement that affirmed the victory of Idahosa in the February 28 National Assembly elections.
The candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ms Omosede Igbinedion, and that of the Labour Party, Mrs Epelle Osayuki had petitioned the outcome of the poll at the tribunal.
