Ardova Handball League: Kano Pillars back to winning ways

After suffering three defeats in a stretch in Phase 2 of ongoing Ardova Handball Premier League in Lagos, Kano Pillars returned to winning ways on Friday (November 17, 2023) at the expense of Benue Buffalos.

The match day 4 encounter which produced exciting moments for both teams, did not come that easy for Kano Pillars as they had to work hard to beat Benue Buffalos 33-24 to record their first win in Phase 2 of the ongoing Ardova Handball Premier League in Lagos.

Kano Pillars had earlier, lost by 23-27 to Rima Stickers, drew 21-21 with Correctional Boy and beaten 17-31 Niger United.

Also, Rima Queens who settled for a 25-25 draw with Seasiders Babes of Lagos in Match Day 3 dominated Benue Queens 42-18 in a one sided encounter.

In the other matches of Day 4, Tojemarine Academy continued their good run in the league by recording a 29-22 victory over Correctional Boys with Lagos Seasiders shaking away their narrow loss to Safety Shooters 25-22 by beating Correctional Boys 24-22 just as top contenders to the title, Safety Shooters dominated Police Machine team, 29-19.

In the women category, Defender Babes recorded a slim 20-21 victory over Plateau Peacocks while Bendel Dynamos defeated Bayelsa Queens 30-24.

Action continues today Saturday, November, 18 in Day 5 of the league.
