A Magistrates court sitting in Yaba has granted bail to Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti.
The court, however, remanded him for 48hours pending conclusions to the investigation being carried out by the police.
Presiding over the case, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun granted the singer a bail in the sum of N1m with two responsible sureties and a three years verifiable tax payment receipt.
The court also stated that one of the sureties must have a landed property within the court jurisdiction.
ThisNigeria reported that Seun Kuti was arrested for assaulting a policeman on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
Defending his action, Kuti alleged that the officer tried to kill him and his family.
