Attack: Igboho’s wife abducted, seven others killed – Akintoye

The wife of the Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho has reportedly been abducted by unidentified gunmen, following an attack on the activist’s residence.

This development was announced by the leader of Ilana Omo Oodua, Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, in a statement made available by his Communications Manager, Maxwell Adeleye.

According to Akintoye, seven other persons were killed in the attack which occurred in the early hours of Thursday.

He stated further that the gunmen, who were dressed in military camouflage, spoke French fluently.

Igboho’s media spokesperson, Olayemi Koiki also confirmed the attack in a live video via Facebook.

Koiki disclosed that the attackers, dressed in military camouflage, riddled the building and vehicles with bullets.

He revealed further that some occupants of the building were whisked away by the attackers, adding that Igboho was safe.

The attack comes some hours to the Yoruba Nation rally scheduled to hold in Lagos on July 3rd, 2021.

Recall that unidentified hoodlums had razed down Igboho’s house on January 26th, 2021, alongside all the vehicles in it.
