Two women identified as Christiana Iyama and Margaret Ogwu, have been arrested by the Ogun State Police command for allegedly running a baby factory in the Ifo local Government Area of Ogun state.
Confirming their arrest in a statement, the spokesperson of the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects were arrested August 27th following information received.

The statement reads “Upon the information, the DPO Agbado Division, SP Awoniyi Adekunle, mobilized his detectives to the area where the said Christiana Iyama and Margaret Ogwu were arrested.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that Margaret Ogwu was one of the girls harbored by Christiana Iyama who employed the service of a man to impregnate her and collected the child on delivery which she sold at the rate of N400,000 to one of her customers.
“She also confessed to the police that she has sold up to three children from different women to her different customers.”
The case has however been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and diligent prosecution following orders from the state commissioner of police, Lanre Bankole.
