Bandits invade Abuja community, abduct 4 persons

Residents of Tungan Maje, Abuja have cried out to President Muhammadu Buhari to save them from the hands of bandits that constantly invade the area,  kidnap their people and in the process many are killed.

This message followed the invasion of the community in the wee hours of Sunday and four persons kidnapped including a retired assistant comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Abdulahi Idris Rakieu, alongside two members of his family.

The bandits that operated for about three hours also kidnapped in the midnight attack, one Olusola Agun according to one of landlords in the community, Chief Ejiofor Ugwu who narrated the sad situation to ThisNigeria.

Chief Ejiofor said the bandits were dressed in military uniform and broke into the two houses through the fence and window. He therefore called for police presence in the area as they now leave in fear.

As the time of filing this report, phone call and messages put across to the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer were unanswered.
