Boris Johnson to resign as Conservative Leader

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson is set to resign on Thursday as Conservative Leader following several ministerial resignations.
Johnson will continue as the prime minister until autumn to allow a Tory leadership contest to take place, BBC reported.
After the election, Boris will tender his resignation to the Queen and she will summon the leader of the party that can assemble a majority in the Commons to ask them to form a government.
A member of the Britain parliament, Keir Starmer in a statement reacted to Johnson’s announcement
He said “It is good news for the country that Boris has resigned as Prime Minister.
“It should have happened a long time ago. he was always unfit for the office

“He has been responsible for lies , scandal, and fraud on an industrial scale and all those who have been compicit should be utterly ashamed.
“The tory party have inflicted chaos upon the country during the worst cost of living in decades and they cannot now pretend they are the ones to sort it out”.
“They have been in power for 12 years”.
“The damage they have done is profound ,12 years of economic stagnation,12 years of decling public services, 12 years of empty promises”.
“Enough is enough.
“We dont need to change the tory at the top, we need a proper change in government”.
“We need a fresh start to Britain.”
