The family of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has announced his passing in London.
According to a brief statement released by the family on Sunday afternoon, the former president died in a clinic in the British capital.
A statement by his former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on his X handle (former Twitter) stated that the former President died on Sunday afternoon.
The statement read: “The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”
