Ex-boss of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, this morning collapsed in court.
When the case was called Maina’s counsel, Anayo Adibe, told the court that he has not been availed with the record of proceedings to enable him to move a no case submission.
He requested for a short adjournment to enable him get records of proceedings and do the needful.
However, the trial judge, Justice Okon Abang, insisted that the defence counsel has not done the needful to get record of proceedings.
The registrar of the court was at the point confirming the record of proceedings, when Maina, who was in the dock suddenly collapsed and hit against the rail of the dock.
Justice Abang said Maina may have staged manage his collapse at the court.
At this point, Justice Abang rose abruptly.
