Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress stormed the National Assembly complex on Wednesday to protest the lingering strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
This is just as Senate President, Ahmad Lawan ordered a closed session at the resumption of plenary.

The President of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba, led the organised labour to the National Assembly complex.
Heavy security operatives had taken in and around the complex to forestall possible breakdown of law and order before, during the solidarity protest by the NLC.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh said the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force were at the National Assembly to protect the protesters from attack, and also to curb whatever violence that may erupt during the ongoing protest.
Both anti-riot and regular policemen have been stationed at all entrances to the National Assembly as well as the Arcade where regular protests inside the Assembly usually take place.
