A 21-storey building under construction at Gerard Road, Ikoyi has collapsed on Monday.
According to an eyewitness, about fifty persons are trapped under the rubbles.

He stated further that the incident occured at about 3 pm.
“We all felt a vibration from the building and before we knew it, the building collapsed with almost 50 persons in it,” the eyewitness said.
A dead body has been recovered by some construction workers at the time of filing this report.
